Mary Dinan has just had her book 'The Global Suitcase: Inspiring Stories of Adventure from 25 Intrepid Travel Writers' launched! Highlights from my first read include interviews with Simon Reeve (of BBC fame) and the wise Dervla Murphy. Strongly recommended for those people who need some inspiration to travel for the first time, or to get back into thinking about the highs of travel.

Here's a quote from the interview with Geoff Hill after being asked if travel has changed his life;

"For the next 14 years, every six weeks or so I had the feeling of euphoria which the passage of time never diminished. In my head was the knowledge of an adult, in my heart was the joy of a child seeing the world for the first time. And in my soul, it always felt like Christmas morning. Anticipating the feeling of going somewhere new and then actually travelling there was thrilling." p.96

I love this quote. It captures the essence of what travel may be if you let it. Thanks Craig.
