I couldn't find another thread in the group on quotation marks. (N.B. To my way of thinking, 'quote' is a verb notwithstanding some learned contrary usage.) I wanted to show you this:

I think "Vegetable" Cream Cheese is being advertised to the anti-vegan crowd. "Have some fake vegetables, Mr. & Mrs. Meat Eater..."

At least the first one is being honest that they are using fake cheese.

But how do you make meat "fresh" in the store? I guess I'm glad I'm not shopping there.

Since "Restrooms" is a euphemism, I would think that the quotation marks are correct there.

The writers seem to be unaware that underlining does the job. The video camera one covers it both ways.

Presumably the 5th one is implying that the video cameras are *filming* you 24/7, but that there isn't necessarily anyone watching the footage!

And maybe the 6th one is being quietly honest about their service not actually being massage, but "massage", you know, nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more...
