Anyone watch Moonlight? The new vampire show...

Vampire Private Investigator Mick St. John - Alex O'Loughlin - makes his way onto the screen with a subtle wit, a dry sense of humor, a sensuous gaze, and a gorgeous body! He has a past full of secrets and a quiet vulnerability. And damn, he's hot!

The supporting cast adds to the entire package, Beth Turner - intrepid reporter, played by Sophia Myles, is funny, smart, and sexy too. I also loved Mick's best friend, Joseph - another vamp - who is full of ruthlessness and sarcasm.

Moonlight is on Fridays on CBS. This last Friday was the first episode (which I think I've watched about 5 times already....). If you missed it's free on iTunes! And you can watch it on the CBS website, under recaps. I highly recommend it.

I really hope they don't cancel this one!! So I'm doing my part to spread the word. Watch this show!!

P.S. The first time it aired the showed this music video as sort of a coming look at future episodes to the new Celine Dion song "Taking Chances". It's fabulous, makes me all tingly *sigh*.

I've been watching it and will give it a chance. Some of seems pretty cheesy to me, but there are aspects of it that look good.
so I'll wait and see if it grows on me.

The Celine Dion part nearly made me turn it off. Talk about horror!

It reminds me of Forever Knight in several ways. So far, it's not too bad.

I think I liked "Forever Knight" better... (it's been a while since I've seen it, though). I'm not sure why, but I'm not too taken by Mick St. John... I've watched several episodes and still don't have a good grip on his character. His high-finance, immoral vamp friend seems a bit more interesting, but he's even a bit two-dimensional.

I absolutly love this show. I love all shows with this theme, and the fact that Mick is gorgeous just make it all the better

yup, I'm watching it, and totally loving it. if only mick and beth would hook up already though. LOL no, but its brilliant, I hope the writers strick doesn't doom it.

Four new episodes! Starting in April!!

Seems like a good sign that it will get picked up in the fall. Hope so, because I certainly haven't gotten my fill of Mick/Alex!!

I saw an article in the Sunday USA Weekend section of our newspaper saying they cancelled Moonlight. Too bad it won't come back for another season unless
another Network picks it up. Do you think they'll evetnually put all of the Moonlight episodes on DVD?

I certainly hope so because I missed several episodes. The article goes on to say that Sophia Myles who played Beth is a British Actress who was also in a BBC version of Dracula as well as Underworld and its sequel too. I'll have to look into what other movies she has been in.

I heard it wasn't coming back in the fall, too. No more Friday night Mick fix. Sniff.

I've only watched a few episodes. It's really good. Difficult to watch because I live in the U.K. but thank God for itunes.
