Just parking a topic here so I can keep notes on what I work on and what I still need to finish on these. If anyone wants to chime in and help on any of those - feel free too :) Or post your own projects here so someone can help.

Best American series - track down the 2014 and 2015, add to main and secondary series.

I do wish the LT app for iOS gave access to the author and series data with indications on what you have vs. what has been published. For ongoing series, it would be nice to be aware of the available and newly-released items. Frustrating this is the propensity of LT members to add items to their "collections" and the author and series pages that are not yet published.

As I was collecting Tom Swift actively, I included not only titles but available formats as I tried to fill the gaps. I've seen similar things for other juvenile series. Is this the kind of thing you have in mind?

>3 Keeline:

Pretty much anything - mainly to keep track of series work that needs more work than usual :) So yes - part of what I do often is take a look at a lot of series to make sure the new books are added as soon as they show up in LT :) Having a worksheet here will help me keep track (and someone else that is bored to do it if I am distracted). It's like the big projects thread over at the Combiners group (even though we rarely seem to use it)...

>3 Keeline: You mean people doing something like adding High Heat by Richard Castle. I put things onto my to read or wishlist shelves before their published so that I can have a half a chance of remembering that they're going to be published and to buy them/put them on hold in the catalog when they appear/see if they're on Netgalley.

I don't want to put up a half done record either. So, if I know something about them, such as the series they're in, or when they'll be published, or whatever else, I'm going to add that in too.

Have you tried FictFact.com? That sounds like what you're looking for a bit.

FictFact.com looks like it might be a help. It will require some manual effort to get the current listings and keep them up to date. It would be great if there was a more automated way to get them to share data.

But yes, having the forthcoming but not yet released books in the inventories causes them to be in the author and series lists on LT. It is not as helpful as it could be.
