Dear TinyCat members,

I’m happy to say that TinyCat is officially here! If you joined our TinyCat Testers Group in the last few months, we’ve gone ahead and added you to the official group for TinyCat. Any new TinyCat conversations should be posted to this group. If you’d like to leave the group, simply click the link to “leave” in the top right corner of the page:

If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to review the Group description on the main page. I (Kristi) am your primary contact for all things TinyCat so, if you have any specific questions you’d rather not post in this group, please email me at tinycat@librarything.com or kristi@librarything.com.

Feel free to introduce yourself here! You can also search existing topics of interest or "Post a new topic” from the group’s main page—this one is just to kick things off.

Hi,
My arts organization, Arts + Literature Laboratory, did the 30 day trial of Tiny Cat and liked it so I signed up over the weekend but don't see our catalog and haven't received any kind of message about what to expect or when. The trial immediately made our catalog available from LibraryThing to TinyCat so I kind of assumed it would be true when we started in earnest. Can you let me know? I'd like to link to it from our website.
Thanks,
Rita Mae

Hi Rita,

Sorry for the trouble! From LibraryThing, you should find at least three ways to get to your TinyCat catalog:

1. From your profile page (http://www.librarything.com/profile/artlitlab), there's a "TinyCat" link.
2. From your Settings > TinyCat page (https://www.librarything.com/settings/tinycataccount), there's also the link to your catalog.
3. Finally, from your LibraryThing's main nav bar (Main Menu), you should see a cute TinyCat icon next to your "Zeitgeist" page, like so:

If you click that icon, you should be brought to your TinyCat homepage.

To log into your Admin portal for TinyCat, just go to https://www.librarycat.org/admin/ and log in, or click the lock icon showing in the bottom right of your TinyCat homepage and log in.

Let me know if you have any other questions—you can message me (kristilabrie) or email me anytime (kristi@librarything.com). Welcome to LT and TinyCat!

Ya, I don't see that cat next to Zeitgeist.

from the https://www.librarything.com/settings/tinycataccount page I disabled and enabled the tab link, and it's not doing anything.

disabling and enabling tinycat itself didn't do anything either.

>4 JerryMmm:

Two questions:

1. Are you using the "old design"?

2. Can you see https://www.librarycat.org/lib/JerryMmm ?

>5 lorax: Good suggestions, but there's definitely something up. I just checked on >4 JerryMmm: 's account, and am seeing the reported behavior (missing TC icon). I'll get Kristi and/or developers to take a look tomorrow.

I was part of the beta if that makes a diff.

>4 JerryMmm: You're right, I can confirm logged in as you on Google Chrome. (artlitlab's is visible, at least). Thanks for reporting! I'll look into this and check back with any updates.

Okay, JerryMmm, question: did you ever go through the TinyCat setup wizard (https://www.librarycat.org/signup)? If not, this may be why you're not seeing the TinyCat logo on LT's main navbar. It will be helpful for us to know whether you've gone through it or not.

Even if you have, try going through the setup wizard one more time. This should get your TinyCat account on the map, and showing up in your main navbar.

Let me know where you get! Thanks.

Can't remember tbh, will try later

OK, it's there after I went through the setup of tinycat itself. Hadn't bothered with it yet before I guess.

Thanks for investigating.

I'm having trouble checking out a second copy of an item. Do I have to separately catalogue each copy? I thought that additional copies would just be noted in the Copies field, and then multiple patrons could check it out, but that doesn't work. No matter how many copies are noted, only one can be checked out. Am I missing something?

>14 HolyApostles: Yes, in order to be checked out each copy has to be entered separately..
