Maybe after they fix Touchstones, create an Android app, and create a full round-trip import/export loop?

I've noticed, recently, that some covers are being flagged as not applicable, and may not deserve that flagging. I had voted in agreement on a couple of them, and then realized that (although it is unlike me to be so trusting) I hadn't actually checked on whether the cover in question might be a legitimate cover. Often, covers that have been flagged are OBVIOUSLY wrong, and no checking is necessary, but sometimes, lately, the only reason a cover seems to have been flagged is that there aren't words on the front of it that match the title of the book.

I started check on some of my own, older books. Yep. Flagged as inapplicable. They're covers I scanned in, and have otherwise made a strong effort to enter all the known information about the book. If flagging ever starts affecting which covers are shown, or (even worse) starts affecting the cover I'm using, overly aggressive flagging is going to harm the data available, rather than help.

(Please note that I'm not willing to hold a book in some position where the spine is visible along with the cover. I've seen that done, and even done it myself with a newer book. If it's from one of those collections so popular in the earlier part of the 1900s, the information is often only on the spine.)

Okay, okay, I'll quit. I'm just annoyed, but I'll live.

I don't flag those covers in particular, Lyndatrue. Many older books didn't print the title on the cover, so I give the scanner the benefit of the doubt.
