This is for those who might be new to the series and were wondering the order in which to read them.

Book 1 - Furies of Calderon
Book 2 - Academ's Fury
Book 3 - Cursor's Fury
Book 4 - Captain's Fury
Book 5 - Princeps' Fury - release date 2 Dec 2008
Book 6 - Title and release date TBD (but if trend continues, then December 2009)
*End of Series*

Can also add to that now that Captain's Fury is out.

*sigh* Okay... the first one is now added to my to-be-read pile!

(I swear I'm alternately loving and cursing Library Thing for introducing me to countless new books and series - they're all great but I think emptying my TBR list has become something of a Sisyphean task...)

elba - I think the same thing everyday when I log onto LT.

I also recommend that you move this series up in your queue. You'll love it. =)

Irish. It looks like I've turned you into a fellow champion for the Codex Alera series. ^_^

You definitely have. =)

I recommend this to everyone now. And I'm also blackmailing (bribing?) a friend of mine to read it. There are some books of mine that she wants to borrow (adding to the large pile she already has)....but I won't let her touch them until she completes the various books in this series. One book in exchange for one of the new ones that she wants.

Hey. The cover is up on Butcher's site for Princeps' Fury.

Personally I think Tavi is WAY cuter than this picture makes him out to be.

cool cover...I wonder how that scene will play out in the book.

I'm also with you Cursor - not my image of Tavi at all.

I'm not sure if the cover always is a scene from the books. For 1 and 3 yes, but for the covers of book 2 and 4 I don't remember them happening. Where in Academ's did hands come out of the walls at Tavi, and where in Captain's were there fire dogs?

Anyone remember?

The fire dogs were in the scene when Tavi was breaking Varg out of the prison.

I don't think that Academ's had a scene with hands coming out of the wall. But I believe Tavi always had the sense that someone was watching him....so maybe that has something to do with that drawing?

Academs is that the book where Tavi and Max get into a fight with the school bully in the ally way? the same book Isana does the deal with Invidia to save Tavi?

If it is then I am sure in the scene where Tavi and Max are fighting the school baddie (whose name alludes me now) makes hands or something come out of the wall to hold Tavi while he tries to kill Max.
