Hello, I'm translating a text written in English by a Dutch person, and a word has me stumped. It's "artharmontics" (as in "theater, megacinema and library/media/artharmontics"). I'm guessing it's a dutchism, which is why I wondered if any of you, native Dutch speakers, had any idea what that word means (art gallery, art library, something else entirely)? I've had no luck googling... I'd be eternally grateful for your help.

Hi! Native speaker here. I have absolutely no clue. O_O I tried to "dutchify" it (kunstharmontiek, kunsthar*), but that didn't help at all. Can you post the sentence or paragraph?

Here's the full sentence:

A recent development in Delft's appearance is the completion in March 2005 of the refurbishment of the Zuidpoort area on the south side of the city center, which is called the Delft Culture Center, with the presence of theater, megacinema and Library/media/artharmontics.

Hope this helps...

Art harmonics is a thing:

and at least one example of "harmonics art""

But "artharmontics"--anyone's guess...

A native speaker, like Ennas, and an art historian. And I'm stumped.

Oh well, at least, I learned about art harmonics - it seems a bit niche though... And I was so sure artharmontics would turn out to be a transparent typo and/or dutchism! Thanks anyway for your input, Ennas, Lola and Matt.
I think I'll start using "artharmontics" randomly in everyday conversation. It's such a weird combination of syllables, I want to get some more mileage out of it. "Darling, I'm going up to the artharmontics, do you need anything while I'm there?" We'd have to decide on pronunciation, though: art-harmontics, arthar-montics...
