Due to a serious spam situation that came up over the last few days, we'll be reverting wiki changes back to November 4th in the next day or so. I know this group uses the wiki quite a lot, so I wanted to let you all know that I've saved the wiki pages that are mentioned in the group description, as they've been edited during this timeframe, and will restore them to their current versions after we've made the necessary changes.

For this group, I have currently saved the pages below:

2017 RandomCAT
2017CC CultureCAT
2017CC CATWoman
2017CC AwardsCAT
2017 BingoDOG
2017 Unofficial SF/SFFKIT
2017 Unofficial AlphaKIT

If there are other pages you've worked on that have edits between Nov 4th and today, please either copy and save their text somewhere safe until we've reverted the wiki, or let me know in this thread so I can do so for you.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience. We're working on migrating the wiki over to a new system, but in the meantime, needed to take action to ensure it was not completely overrun with spam.

Thank you lorannen. I've noticed the spambots quite active in some of the discussion boards too recently.

(Dory voice): Just keep flagging, just keep flagging...

Please let me know when you have finished, so I can redo any updates - just once.

>7 lhungsbe: Of course! There are a few other groups for whom I've posted this notice. I'll update all those threads as soon as we've finished setting things up.

May we have an update on how things are coming along? Any projected time frame? TIOLI challengers would like to know. Thanks!

Any news yet on an ETA for things being back to normal use?

Copied over from the main wiki spam thread:

Sorry for the delay, folks. We had one solution that we thought would work in place, but it fell through at the last minute. Sysadmin is working hard on getting the migration complete right now. While I don't have a specific ETA, it's on the order of a few days yet before it's done. Thanks so much for your patience.

Finally, the new wiki is here! Post on New Features: https://www.librarything.com/topic/277450.

ETA: My sincere thanks for your patience while we worked on getting this up and running. I know it was a long, frustrating wait, but we think it will have been worth it in the long run.

I guess we need someone with wiki experience to set up the new ones and transfer the info. I've had a look but it is far beyond my capabilities.

>19 VivienneR: If you guys need help, let me know. I've already moved over all the pages I listed in >1 lorannen:, so they are up-to-date. I wrote some brief instructions on copying over pages that might help: https://www.librarything.com/topic/277450#6273533

The new link to the Culture Cat: https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/2017CC_CultureCAT

The new link to the CatWoman: https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/2017CC_CATWoman#2017_CATWoman_Challenge

The new link to the SF/FFKit: https://wiki.librarything.com/index.php/2017_Unofficial_SF/SFFKIT#2017_Official_...

I just did a bunch of my updates, but I did so many and I still feel like I missed something! I shouldn't have IF I kept good notes on what I needed to update and where! Either way, at this point, I don't think I'm going back!
