Hey I've been researching doing a podcast for my library. Is anyone running or have started one and have some do's and don't's they wouldn't mind sharing? I've got a rough idea of what I want the content to be and I've researched different software/hardware/etc I'd need. But really any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

ALA's "Dewey Decibel" had an episode on podcasting a few months ago. It's #15 titled "Podcasting about the Library":

You don't need a Soundcloud account to listen. Hope this helps!

Have you heard the Librarians with Lives podcast? I really like it. It is available for free from Apple podcasts. The librarian who runs it is also on twitter @libswithlives

I'll definitely check that out >4 loubrarian:. It's a little weird in that I am apparently the only one who's looking to create a podcast with the limited audience of my library patrons? There are a ton of good podcasts out there by librarians for librarians or by librarians but focused outside of their library (interviewing professionals) and that is... not what I'm doing. I'm starting to worry that because I can't find one that is doing what I'm doing there is a good reason for it.

My library, Jefferson-Madison Regional Library recently started a podcast for our patrons. It's still pretty new. And I'm not involved with production in any way, so I can't speak to the specifics - time involved, number of listeners, etc. It's called On the Same Page: http://onthesamepage.blubrry.net/
