It's an old list. I'm surprised there isn't a modern narrative about this important century that incorporates all developments into a political and social history.

The twelfth century renaissance by Christopher Brooke is a fairly good introduction to the topic. (Published c. 40 years ago though, so yeah...)

I believe that "The Crisis of the Twelfth Century" by Thomas Bisson, also illuminates. Being too narrow about focus dims the picture, i think.
