I was very sorry to hear that Philip Kerr has died at the early age of 62. I was a big fan of his Bernie Gunther thrillers and very much enjoyed the last one, Prussian Blue recently.
The adventures and misadventures of the former Berlin cop turned P.I were very well written and if anyone has not yet come across them I particularly recommend the early titles - March Violets- The Pale Criminal and A German Requiem.
Philip Kerr has left us one last book however, a new Bernie Gunther title called Greeks bearing Gifts due out in April. Apologies that the last two named do not come up correctly on Touchstones.

You can always fix the touchstones - just click on others next to the touchstone in your message and find the correct one in the list: Greeks bearing Gifts; A German Requiem. In this case, Kerr's books were in second place on the list so very easy to find them :)
I am saddened to hear about his death but I do not think that it was entirely unexpected.
