I'm back with the Sisters and novices of Sweet Mercy Convent in Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence. I love listening to this series and I think each series he writes is better than the last.

I have been visiting the convent of Sweet Mercy with the Red sister and thought it was fantastic. Now I'm back in Osten Ard sitting on the Dragonbone Chair.

I just finished a visit to the Chalk to see Tiffany Aching wear The Shepherd's Crown and in doing so I completed my first read through of Terry Pratchett's Discworld

I'm back on Scadrial for a reread of The Final Empire, and the The Mistborn trilogy, before reading the Wax and Wayne series. Which I've previously only read The Alloy of Law.

Visiting the village of Wall, for the market day, in Stardust.

Love the Aching books. You might next want to read Witches Abroad Equal Rites and Lord and Ladies which gives you more background on the witches.

I do envy you and wish I could read all of them again for the first time! I started with Soul Music and Small Gods, and the rest was history (tho I didn't read the first two in the series until I was a long time fan. Glad I did, because those aren't as good altho they are a good start!

>16 cremorn: Sam Vimes. I got intrigued in series because of the Hogfather TV adaptation, so I was hyped about the Death books already. But as soon as I started Guards! Guards!, Vimes stood out immediately and every time a Watch book showed up I got a little energized.

>18 cindydavid4: I read the series in publication order so I knew the background context.

Ah, ok then. After he passed I decided to read them by groups - witches, vimes, wizards. That was a lot of fun

Vimes is one of my fav characters along with Granny, DEATH, Lord Vetanari, Tiffany, Carrot

May need to do another reread soon.

I've read Discworld in publication order as well, over many years. I think I have about 5 books left. Vimes is a favorite character, but DEATH (and the DEATH OF RATS) is the most fun.

Having finished my 13 book reread by audio of the series, I am back in the Six Duchies and have just finished Fool's Assassin. As usual, Robin Hobb is torturing her characters and making me cry. I still really loved it though. Straight on to Fool's Quest and more of the emotional rollercoaster.

I was in the (fictional ? only Blackbird I seem to find on Google Maps is very much on the East Coast) mid-western city of Blackbird, USA in Past Life Strife by Christina McMullen, nicely flowing Urban Fantasy light fare.

Wheel of Time Book 10! From the reviews I have read, this is the last book of the "slow" period, although 7-9 weren't too slow. The pace definitely shifted gears, but the story moved forward and there were some good action parts to stir things up occasionally.
