Here's an LT gallery image of me wearing my new Cabell t-shirt.
I realize of course that it's not meant to be a JAMES BRANCH Cabell t-shirt but with all that Myth/Legend business it serves pretty well. I got it on eBay for $15 or something like that.

Which Cabell was it intended to reference?

I think it's a thing where t-shirt etc companies choose common/popular names and put stuff out there to snag people with those names. Maybe even pod.
Cabell is a common last, first, and middle name in (at least) Virginia and West Virginia. I suppose some Astros fans might want it for Enos Cabell who doesn't even know the correct way to pronounce his surname.
I shd also look into some Lloyd wearables...
ETA - Yep, there's a Lloyd the man the myth the legend...

The provenance of the shirt is as fun as the script on it, though I'd wish for a better design. Guessing that's a default applied to all sorts of pod, can't view the eBay link at work to support that hunch though.

Does Enos pronounce the name kuh-BELL?
I think I have heard someone oronounce the name KAY-bl, once. There was a general or admiral with the last name Cabell, too.
I remember when I was young, and my favorite novels included The Alexandria Quartet. Nobody seemed able to pronounce the author’s last name correctly. But I had seen Durrell in print give the instructions: more nearly to rhyme with Curl than Purell.
