Dune Chronicles

The reason I signed up for this group is the upcoming release of the Dune Chronicles by Frank Herbert (Last newsletter update indicated May of next year). The artwork shared by the illustrator on FB looks literally out of this world. The price will be really stiff as well, but I’m saving up every month. It will be my first Centipede Press book, the others shown on the website and FB page are also very pleasing to the eye. Anybody else looking forward to this release?

I am also looking forward to this publication. The release date seems to slowly recede every time I check though.

Working on fine-tuning some art that will be stamped on the case of the book itself. Mostly done, but trying really hard to keep the price down. Hopefully November.

So, maybe this year is what I read into it.

On Dune, from the July Newsletter:
"Seriously, this should be on Press in late August. Hopefully shipping by December, but we might delay shipping until January."

I suspect the delay might simply be to distance the process from the hectic holiday season and ensure a better roll out.

I read the newsletter as well and was dutifully coming here to share the news. Didn’t think anyone even followed this thread! So, we got a date (sort of)! I’m not looking forward to the price of this book, but very much so the book itself.

From the September 1st Newsletter:

I don't recall seeing any mention of a pre-order list for Childhood's End. My guess is that Jared won't start taking pre-orders until the pricing has finalized.

ETA: it's not an actual pre-order, just a email list of those who want to be notified when pre-orders are avaialble, which should be mid-September.

The latest newsletter says it's gonna be real soon now.

The full excerpt from the latest newsletter:

"Dune is finally, finally, finally! heading to the printer next week. Preflight, color checks, galley checks, etc., will take some time. But we are good to go! So if you can let me know that you want me to reserve a copy.
It would also be good to know if you’re willing to settle for an unsigned copy should all of the signed ones sell out. And, finally, it is very important to know if you will be wanting the remaining books in the series (which will take some time to publish; they definitely won’t be coming all at once), or if you just want the first Dune.
Each additional book in the series will have extra bonus items: the original John Schoenherr artwork; an interview with Frank Herbert by David Wingrove; “The Road to Dune” by Frank Herbert, another essay on Dune by Herbert; perhaps the H. R. Giger Dune paintings.
Anyway, if you can let me know this week on this information, that would be ideal. It won’t be much longer. Remember, we are not taking pre-orders on this title just yet, nor is there any anticipated date to do so, although I can say late January or early to mid February would be the earliest; so, well after the holidays."

Centipede Press Dune

So, Dune is now available for pre-order (provided you received the newsletter). Can anyone make head or tail of why the newsletter states that the provided link will take you to the product page for Dune and will offer two purchase options, signed and unsigned, for costs of $625 and $575, respectively, but when loaded, the product page only shows the unsigned option for $610? Is this because I didn't preregister an interest in the signed copy?
