Adding a specific location for each book in the details page?

I was wondering if this were possible? For instance, at my school library, next to the call number you would have which section to look in to find it. Ex. College Resources, Career Resources, Stacks, etc. Is this feature available in TinyCat?

The call number ought to be enough to say where the book belongs.
If you need other information, I would suggest putting it in tags.

You can add a location to the custom call number field and specify that it is visible on the details page. You can also use Collections for large, broad categories.

Tags work very well for this. You can search by tag and generate lists of tags in addition to pointing users to a location.

We have all our books in rubbermaid totes since we do not have permanent shelving. We have set up a Collection for each box; and the Collection/Box name is also labelled on each book.
As a duplicate key, I have also added a location tag for example "LOC Art Quilts". So we are using both Collections and Tags as I did not know which would be better for us. It's all new to us at the moment.

I thought I would use "other call number" too - but I can't find a way to make that show up in the record in TinyCat so people who search the catalog can then see it's location. Has anyone figured this out? (Apologies if it's super obvious and I'm just missing it.

In LT Profile settings>Your books : Other settings> Classification
In TinyCat, make sure you include Call number in your detail page settings. In Circulation set Call number system.

Our small parish library is organized by subject (e.g., Church History, Liturgy, etc). For each item cataloged, I make sure that the subject heading is the first Tag listed, which indicated where it is shelved. On the home library home page I note that this is how books may be found...
