Hello all! I need help again. I have a recipe for salmon lasagne probably originally written by a Dutch cook. It calls for "60g of caviar substitute" as a garnish. My first guess is that it must be some kind of fish roe - either herring or cod or salmon or lumpfish - but it might be something else entirely for all I know - a vegetarian substitute for example or even that Swedish spread that comes in a tube! Could any of you with a knowledge of life in the Netherlands clarify things? Would it be roe from a particular type of fish?

60g stands for 60 gram.
caviar substitute is caviar alternative.
And yes it should be a garnisch. Any alternative should be ok.
