I first checked this book out from my library and then purchased a copy. I bought it more to read, than to use for cooking and I don't think it will disappoint. It's really quite lovely. No glossy photos of food, but rather quiet, pastel drawings. Cooking temperatures are in Celsius so I would have to spend some time with a conversion calculator if I wanted to try a recipe, but I knew that.

>2 bayleaf: For oven temperatures just double the celsius to get Fahrenheit. The result will probably be closer than your oven.

100 Celsius - 212 Fahrenheit

150 Celsius - 302 Fahrenheit

175 Celsius - 347 Fahrenheit

200 Celsius - 392 Fahrenheit

225 Celsius - 437 Fahrenheit

Anything over that is whatever highest temp your oven can produce.

>3 MarthaJeanne: I like that hint!

>2 bayleaf: You make the book sound lovely. I have forsworn cooking books on my Kindle, especially if they include recipes or illustrations. The idea of pastel drawings appeals to me.
