I've made it past 50 for 3 years in a row now. I retired late last year, so maybe I'll get even more read in 2020. I only have one book to carry over that I started late in December.

Starting with one left from last year and the new year start for my Christie reading group. We're starting over from the beginning and reading the novels in publication order.
1. 30 Shades of Dead - mystery anthology
2. The Mysterious Affair at Styles - Christie
3. The White Raven - Diana L. Paxson
4. Official Guide to the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture
5. I'm Waiting, God - Barb Roose, Bible study class book

7. Hill of Bones - Medieval Murderers

Never should have started the year with a dense 500 page historical fantasy, it has slowed my reading to a snail's pace. I still have just under 100 pages to go.

March

8. Murder on the Links - Christie
9. Poirot Investigates - Christie
10. Tales of Robin Hood - Clayton Emery
11. The Year's Best Science Fiction - 2014 - anthology

So then I go and start a 600 page anthology. At least I have loads of time to read at home now.

April

12. The Man in the Brown Suit - Christie (At least an on-line book club can still meet!)
13. The Recycled Citizen - Charlotte MacLeod
14. Steel Beach - John Varley

and a 600 page novel, I should be going for page count instead of book total!

I keep picking long books to read, so I decided to add a page count as well (I was a math major, I count everything).

256 + 154 + 411 + 175 + 160 + 215 + 416 + 228 + 198 + 309 + 576 + 223 + 208 + 566 + 314 + 256 + 173 + 296 = 4878

20. M.Y.T.H. Alliances - Robert Asprin, Jody Lynn Nye

4878 + 255 + 275 + 260 + 329 = 5997

One of my "stay home" projects has been to finally watch my DVDs of original Trek episodes. I got the bright idea to read the Blish novelizations at the same time, also in broadcast order. I've held onto the books since the early 1970s, they were among the first that I bought myself with my own money as a young teenager, but I hadn't reread them in decades. I knew the stories weren't in any sort of order in the books, but I didn't realize how spread out they were until I got into finding them in order, some early first season episodes don't show up until book 12. And then the Mudd episodes are a separate book unto themselves. So I'm putting them all on the list in August, when I started this, though it will be some months before I finish them all, hopefully by the end of the year. I'm reading any preface or foreward when I first read a story in a volume, and I'll read any end matter (I'm not sure there is any except in book 12) when I finish the last story. At least book 12 does contain a list of the contents of all the books, plus an alphabetical index of the episode names, so finding what to read next is easier than I was expecting.

October

45. Murder at the Vicarage - Christie

10155 + 223 = 10378

Most of this month has been continuing to reread the Blish Star Trek books. Since I'm reading the stories in aired order, I've only finished the first two books on reaching the end of the first season, but had started all but two of them. I'm now well into season two, so I've started those last two books, but I won't finish another one until I'm into the 3rd season, because all the rest contain a mix of 2nd and 3rd season episodes.

Just barely made it to 51 books this year, got caught up in re-reading old favorites instead of working through my huge TBR collection.

Also read 27 magazines and 159 comic books ( though many of those were re-reads as well, I cleaned out my collection and took a large bag to sell back to the comic book shop).
