#1--I think there's a mistake here. That there are two Andy Gill's. One is a music writer based out of London who writes for the music press in England and the other is the guitarist Andy Gill who came from Leeds in England and is known for his work with the post-punk Marxist funk band Gang of Four.
I don't know if the guitar player has any books to his credit but he was absolutely unique and expressionistic in his guitar playing and it appears in any case that he's the one who has died and not the music writer.

>2 lriley: You're right. Gill the writer died in June 2019. See here: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/andy-gill-dead-music-critic-writer...
The LT page seems to list all of the writer's books but gives the guitarist's photo and CK info.

Paralyzed
Blinkered.
Paralyzed.
Flat on my back.
They say our world is built on endeavour.
That every man is for himself.
Wealth is for the one who wants it.
Paradise, if you can earn it.
History is the reason I'm washed up.
Blinkered.
Paralyzed.
Flat on my back.
My ambitions come to nothing.
What I wanted now just seems a waste of time.
I can't make out what has gone wrong.
I was good at what I did.
And I'm the dupe.
