Hi - i would like to remove a series automatically but wrongly assigned to a book. Is there a way to do this? I tried deleting it from the main page where titles are listed and the field SERIES was displayed but was unable to do so. Thanks for your advice

Have you seen the blog post with the new Series module?
Have you checked under the Series and Relationship box for the link to fix such things?

It always helps to give a link to the work in question.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I was not aware of developments in series allocation. It's looking good thank you. The work i have trouble with is

Reformation, Exploration, and Empire https://www.librarything.com/work/2169274/book/175357650

It's under
Series: Pronounce it Perfectly
But it is non-fiction, history rather than language support

https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0717260712/ref=nosim/librarythin06-20

I can try and get the name of the series once i am out of lockdown and can return to the library physically.

Thanks for your insights

Your book was in the wrong work. I have moved it.

Have a look at your author. There should only be one name in the author field with any other authors in the other author field. The publisher is Grolier and is listed as primary author in all works of this series. Christopher Kendris and Theodore Kendris could reasonably be the series editors, but I have no information about that. On the other hand, they are the authors of the Pronounce it Perfectly series, so they may have nothing to do with your books. There is an ISBN duplication involved.

Thanks so much MarthaJeanne for helping with this. Is the change of work something i can do in future? If so could you share with me the instructions? I have more than 10,000 works in our collection some of which may have similar issues. Thanks again in advance

You separate the edition on the edition page. Then you combine it into the correct work.

For help in separating and combining ask https://www.librarything.com/groups/combiners
