Happy Holiday month! What 1001-list books are you reading to round out this most unusual year?

I am hoping to get to a couple of books this month: Autumn in preparation for Winter, The Christmas Oratorio, and The Daughter.

I'm reading Camilla by Fanny Burney.

I'm currently reading Drop City by TC Boyle. I started last month's group read Unknown Soldiers and will also join in with this month's read, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris.

I need to think about which book I would like to end the year with. Maybe the December group challenge.

Just finished with The Secret History. I'm partway through August is a Wicked Month and just starting The Reader.

Just started The Tin Drum which should last for the rest of December at least! Even though it's from the 1950s (not my favorite period) it's about the 1930s/40s (my favorite period) so I'm also counting it for the group challenge this month.

I'm reading through the "Ripping yarn" that is Moby Dick and I'm loving every minute of it.

I've read two of the books on the list so far this month Winter, which I enjoyed tremendously, especially reading right after Autumn and picking up echoes from one book to the next. I've just finished The Christmas Oratorio which was not what I expected. Good, but not quite cohering for me.
