Not all languages available in series drop down list

I have just entered a book from an Eritrean publisher's series. The books are written in Tigrinya, but this language isn't an option on the series language drop down list.

There isn't an 'other language' option avaiable in the list either.

Is there any recommended workaround for this problem?

I don't think so at the moment.

I have raised this in the Bug Collectors group (with a pointer back to here) so hopefully Tim or someone will see it.

Is this for a series that has already been created, or are you trying to create a new series on LT? If the former, can you link me to the Series page?

Ah, so editing a series at least doesn't show the same full set of languages you see in the work language drop-down menu. Will ask if this is deliberate or not.

Okay, so this isn't really a bug: the language selection for series pages are based on what languages the site is available in. timspalding said he can expand it, but I don't have an immediate timeline for that.

>6 kristilabrie:
I appreciate it's not really a bug, which is why I posted it here rather than in the Bug Collectors Group.

I am stuck, though, in that I cannot add the correct language to a series - at the moment it's listed as being in English (which it clearly isn't):

Adding something like 'Other' to the language list would be a useful interim solution.

Thanks and I will pass your suggestion along!
