Many thanks for the list, Elizabeth! I've come close to reading only Summer, and since I haven't read even Autumn, I'm not likely to get to it soon, so "close to reading" is a lie. Have you read and do you recommend any of these? I'm not likely to read the S. Clarke anytime soon, and honestly, Gyasi is the only other name I recognize.

I read Transcendent Kingdom, and am on my library list for Luster and Piranesi, because they were on the Tournament of Books. I was able to borrow Consent yesterday so will get to it soon. Lyon is a Canadian author I believe.
I’ve read a Dawn French book before and enjoyed it a lot but it was very light. She’s a British actress?
I haven’t been able to get within 6 months of The Vanishing Half in library lists.
The 4th book in a series, Summer seems a large reading commitment, lol.

I'm actually up on this in 2021 because BookTubers I follow are talking about it. I will read The Vanishing Half, by Brit Bennett in the next week because it's my book club selection for March. Luckily, I had two people offer to loan it to me, because I was NOT going to buy the hardcover.

I've ordered Consent, by Annabel Lyon (yes, the author is from Vancouver, so she's Canadian. She lives in my corner of the city, although I can't say I've ever noticed her at Safeway or in any restaurants. I think she teaches at UBC).

The others I'm most interested in are:
Small Pleasures by Clare Chambers
The Golden Rule by Amanda Craig
Exciting Times by Naoise Dolan
Nothing But Blue Sky by Kathleen MacMahon
Summer by Ali Smith
