Hello. This is one of the most active groups on LT and I'm hoping with my thread I might meet some like minded people.
The majority of what I read is either old or in the public domain (or both), specifically childrens books, fairytales, gardening fiction & non-fiction, and vintage novels, though there's always outliers.
Right now I'm reading Old Herbacous. My cat seems to be enjoying it.

Welcome! We definitely are a diverse group, and I’m sure you’ll find some people who share your interests. Your cat will fit right in too. :-)

Welcome to Club Read, Toast (should we call you "Toast"?) Hopefully, as you browse around the group you will find like readers.
I used to read quite a lot of contemporary fairy tales and re-tellings, the queen of all being Angela Carter. But, Margo Lanagan is another favorite, her Tender Morsels, a retelling of Snow White & Rose Red. I also used to chase down different retellings of "Bluebeard" which was my childhood favorite. I don't read so much of the genre now, but I can still be tempted.
What is "gardening fiction" ? I have to much to do in the gardens to allot time to reading about it (except for the short forays into the web for research a specific topic).
