I remember reading this book as a young child (was born in 1987 with older sister in 1983, so from 1980s I’m guessing).
Fiction intended for young grade school age most likely
I’m thinking it was paperback and average length of child’s photo story book, but I feel like it may have been wider instead of tall.
I only remember the illustration of a scene of people with George Washington era hair and clothing in a courtroom. I feel like they were scared, that there were “goblin” or “monster” characters maybe outside of the courtroom, or incognito within the group.
I feel like the illustration is light in color, instead of rich, deep coloring.
I appreciate your help. I have been searching and asking people, including my sister, to no avail.
