Found: Classic scifi book alien abduction.

Going crazy. Need some help. Trying to remember a classic scifi book from maybe 70s. Premise: Aliens abducting humans from earth, then taking their brains and transplanting them in their war machines to wage war on other planets. Until one human 'wakes up' and rebels.

I puled the book out of my library it was actually 1965. The main character does not actually wake up in the alien war machine until page 109, that's why I overlooked this book in the first place.

Got to love classic scifi. I just read Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. The premise is interesting, but overall the story has been done so many times already, it left me wanting, so I've gone back to classic scifi. Currently reading Man Plus (Pohl).
