Found: Mystery/Suspense: Woman runs away to start new life in small town, maybe in the south?

I read this book around 2015-2018 and for a long time I thought the title was "The woman in cabin 10" but it is NOT the book by Ruth Ware. It may have a similar title -- or have "girl" or "woman" in the title (like so many books now!). I think it's set in the south -- maybe North Carolina.
The woman runs away from an abusive relationship and creates a new identity in a small town, staying in a cabin/motel, working a job that pays cash, etc. SPOILER: Her husband/boyfriend hires someone to look for her. This man looking for her begins to suspect the woman is hiding for a reason, and is conflicted about what to do. It may have parallel narratives of the woman and the man looking for her. Found it! It's Sunburn by Laura Lippman. I had confused the title of this book with another book of hers called Lady in the Lake which has a very different plot.
