I've just seen a couple of announcements about forthcoming books which I thought might appeal to some of us in this group. So I thought I'd start a thread where we can share news of this sort. Apologies for any injuries caused by Book Bullets!

This thread is NOT for authors to promote their own work; there are specific groups for that kind of thing. It is for Dragoneers to share news of upcoming books that are interesting or exciting to us.

>2 Sakerfalcon: Well, apologies or not I am riddled with this one. You have hit me between the eyes and many other places.

I was aware Ken had been commissioned to prepare this but had no idea when it was due out. Ken MacLeod is the person best placed to prepare this book having been a great friend and having held weekly meetings (visits to the pub) with Iain to discuss their work and share ideas. Tor cannot bring this out soon enough for me.

It was brought to my attention that there are several items coming out as 42nd anniversary editions to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. This was brought to my attention by a bookseller who expressed disappointment and surprise that some of her colleagues were not aware of the significance of this particular anniversary.
