I added an author to a book - Maxwell Hamilton (Narrator):
https://www.librarything.com/work/22900814
He ended up being added to John Maxwell Hamilton's author page:
https://www.librarything.com/author/hamiltonjohnmaxwell/names
As far as I can tell the name Maxwell Hamilton is not combined with John Maxwell Hamilton.
I would have thought that Maxwell Hamilton would have his own author page since he is not 'John' Maxwell Hamilton?

Number of characters. LT names use 20. This is a long name - see the 20 characters of the last, first for both names.
Actually - there is a canonical name in there - the second of these is
https://www.librarything.com/author/hamiltonmaxwell&norefer=1 - which should not have been combined.
Yep that was it - someone set a canonical name and then combined. Once it was separated and recalculated, it looks good again. Although we may need do split and alias if that book belongs to the other guy. Let me do some digging.

>3 AnnieMod: Not true.
Maxwell Hamilton = 15 characters
John Maxwell Hamilton = 19 characters.
That shouldn't be a factor.
Never mind
