What 1001 books are you labouring over this upcoming (American/Canadian) holiday weekend and the rest of this month?

I've just finished, as much as I am going to, Locus Solus. Not sure what is up next, but I am planning to read at least one book per decade 1950-1999 in September.

Just finished The Master of Ballantrae and am now reading the very brief Lady Susan which isn't on the list but I'm completing my Jane Austen record. After that I'll start Promise at Dawn for the group read.

I struggling a bit with In the Heart of the Country - it needs too much concentration -- so I also picked up Contact as an easier read, as well as two other non-list book i have on the go.
