LOC classification number on the edit page.

It is possible to enter the entire classification number, but the last numbers/letters are covered in the small viewing window. I have not found a way to scroll to the left or right in this window. Now that LOC is adding date of publication to many call numbers, it would be nice to have an opening wide enough to see the entire number.

Is your difficulty on the book's detail page (e.g. https://www.librarything.com/work/290039/details/64876165 ) or the edit page for the same book (e.g. https://www.librarything.com/work/290039/edit/64876165 ) ? I know you won't see the form on the second link since it is a book in my library and you don't have edit privileges.

I think the book detail page will show whatever has been entered. The edit form could be smaller than desired.

I use a plugin called Stylus which can let you write custom CSS for any URL pattern. In this you could alter the width of the input field. This was wider for me but you can change the number:

#form_lccallnumber { width: 200px; }

For "Applies to" use "URLs matching the regexp" and the value:

https://www.librarything.com/work/.+/edit/.+
