A sad loss, but he led a full life.
He also wrote quite a few books. I haven't read any of his works, but I know they have been very well received. In fact, his 1979 book On Human Nature won the Pulitzer Prize. Maybe Folio will publish it?

The Folio Society's The Diversity of Life turned out just as I had hoped. Biophilia would make a wonderful fine press volume.
A Library of America volume was published earlier in 2021 that has those two works along with his memoir Naturalist. All are excellent.
Edited for touchstones.
