Does the 1001 list have an adventure story by a BIPOC author?

Hello! I’m supposed to read an adventure story by a BIPOC author and I would like to check a book off the 1001 Books To Read Before You Die list. Is there a book that fits the bill?

The 1001 list is not strong on adventure stories. The ones I can think of are quite old and by white men.

Alexandre Dumas is BIPOC and has several adventure stories on the list.
