The title of the series as a whole is "The xxxx" where "xxxx" is the name of the street gang. Titles in the series will often feature the name of the gang: "Further Adventures of The xxxx"
The street-gang are a group of young teens and younger who attempt various strategies of survival on the streets of London in Thatcher's UK. E.g. squatting, begging, breaking, entering and stealing in an "eat the rich" manner.
One the central themes of the series concerns the strategies that disadvantaged and subaltern groups are forced to innovate and to adopt in order to survive in a society marked by massive disparities of wealth and power.

It's not The Borrible Trilogy by Michael de Larrabeiti, is it? The three books are The Borribles, The Borribles Go for Broke, and The Borribles: Across the Dark Metropolis. Set in London and the books were written as a response to the political climate in Thatcher's Britain.
