A member is doing quite a lot of editing of series information and it seems that he/she has not quite grasped that Common Knowledge is common to all works. I've noticed, and corrected/redone the CK for series that are in my Library but there may be others.
Could a member of staff have word with him/her?

Yes, that was careless of me, I'm sorry. I'll edit it out.
And I have emailed a member of staff, so ignore this topic altogether.

Someone just messaged me about this earlier this week, I wish I had seen it sooner! I think we'll need to work on reverting most/all of the edits the user made.
If anyone wants to help do this, you can start here. We'll be plugging away at them, I think.

Does anyone with some knowledge of Italian want to explain series to a user? They've done a few series deletions, I'm wondering if they might be editing within their own catalog to remove unwanted (to them) series, not realising the effects. They have a private catalog though so I'm only able to guess at that.

Actually, scrap that, noticed that their profile doesn't permit messages, I will send a message to LT staff.

>7 lilithcat: https://www.librarything.com/nseries/userhistory/2506026 most likely - I had to rescue a few Maigret novels awhile back and it seems to be happening to other books as well. I don't think the user understands that series information is community data and not his own data.
PS: I've dropped a note to Kristi about it.

(Sorry for being a bit coy in giving info, wasn't sure if that was the done thing.)

These two series appear to be part of this strange edit problem. That being said, it also looks like they were combined, then one was resurrected again??
I'm confused by this one, but think one needs to go.

>10 gilroy: You might want to ask ablachly about those, as she seems to have worked on them.

The message in the Edit History: Missing nseries_ledger_display_series_unalias
suggests to me the following bug topic which got raised when we noticed series somehow auto-uncombining: https://www.librarything.com/topic/340818
