There's a bug report about not being able to save properly after unsplitting authors, so perhaps those are some cases. I'll try to find he bug report

I do not see anything wrong here.

A) Most of these books have been listed as having James C Collins as a secondary author. A few as primary author. To edit the division it would be necessary to research each of these books to find out more about the James C Collins author. How many different authors are represented here?

B) If you can establish whether or not the third book is by the same author as the other two, the disambiguation can be changed.

Please do not try to pretty things up.

Yes, removing the incorrect aliasing for this author - fixed the problem.

I only found out about his by looking at the :
https://www.librarything.com/stats/get-to-know/gender stats page,

where some authors appeared without the "Gender" column assigned. I started the investigation and figured out that although the books have a correct author attribution, the aliasing was wrong, and this apparently affected the stats page. (don't know how to expain it more clear, as the interface is a bit complicated)

A) and B) are all correct now. The problem appeared only when selecting the books from the link above.

you may close the topic if you wish. ;)
