Group Read, May 2022: The Shipyard

Our May group read is The Shipyard by Carlos Onetti. Please join in the read and post any comments on this thread.

The beginning of this book is very confusing! I looked up online reviews to figure out what was going on. I am assured that things become clearer.

Is anybody else reading this? I am over half way through now and I must say that I dislike it a lot. The characters are all awful and the writing continues to be confusing. I am glad that it is short but it's not short enough!
