So i've always added books to LibraryThing using a barcode scanner, scan it all into a notepad file then upload.
I want to take the same method to scan books out en-masse (E.g. Lending a bunch to family , so i know 1) Where they are , and 2) Avoids us duplicating books.
Is there a way to do this short of scanning each one in turn through the check-out page?

The only way you can apply the same lending status to many books at once is to scan them directly into the Check in/out page. If you're already planning on scanning them into notepad, you should just be able to do this from the Check in/out page and skip the notepad step entirely.
