Found, I think:
Cultures and Organizations: Software for the Mind by Geert Hofstede
possibly the third edition.

This one may be a bit tricky.

I'm looking for a book on international culture. I read it between 2010 and 2020. It may or may not have been for international business people. Didn't feel very dated, so it _might_ have been written post 2000.

The only part I Really Clearly Remember is that there were a list, like in a box chart, of about six different spectrums, and then the countries were listed along those spectrums. For the example of individualistic to collectivist cultures, US / England / Australians were the most individualist cultures, and China was far on the other end as collectivist culture.

There may have been spectrums for timekeeping, and I don't remember what else.

I'm a layperson so it wasn't especially dense.

Would really love to re read this.
Maybe I really should start logging all of my books.

Thanks!

>1 BookSmith23: Possibly The Power of Place? (While making sure I had the right touchstone, I saw multiple other books with the same name that could also be worth a look, such as the one by Winifred Gallagher.)

Thanks RosetheReader!

I think it's this one: Cultures and Organizations: Software for the Mind by Geert Hofstede
possibly the third edition. I found the second edition on Open Library and read bits of it, it looks accurate with the charts etc. Fascinating read, I do recommend.

(In the same vein, I also recommend The WEIRDest people in the world by Joseph Henrich.)

Incidentally, thank you for recommending the Power of Place. I met the author Harm de Blij several times when he was a featured presenter where I worked, and I've rarely heard geography shared with such enthusiasm. Very entertaining, I learned a lot from him. Thank you for recommending his book!

with gratitude,
