Thought I'd let those waiting impatiently know that I received my copy of the special edition today, delivered in impeccable condition by Fedex in 8 days (along with a demand for $61 in Canadian taxes). An outstanding production as always.
Simon says that the binding is proceeding slowly, not much more than half done. (These are the same binders who did the fiddly vellum series for FS; Gulliver's Travels in particular used to arrive in batches with gaps in between). I don't know in what sequence orders are dealt with; I ordered very early before the prospectus was issued. In order to speed up production of My Brush is my Sword, binding is being moved to a different company, but it's still a couple of months off.

Thanks for the update. I managed to get my name down for one of the last remaining special copies back in Ferbruary after seeing a post about it, either here or on the fine press forum, so expect a much longer wait until I get mine.

It is well worth the wait. Meanwhile, congratulate yourself on reserving a copy of a magnificent book.
