How to reattach center page to stitched signature?

What's the best way to reattach the center page to a stitched signature? I don't really want to remove the whole signature if I don't need to, is there another way? This is a hardbound children's book I am repairing for a library.

Since this is a library, they are probably more interested in having a serviceable copy of the book (with minimal repair expense) and the methods would probably differ from what is done for an antiquarian book.

Norbond plastic hinge adhesive could be used in the smallest amount along the edge of the leaf. Folded waxed paper can help to keep the adhesive where you don't want it. Give the adhesive some time to dry partially. The book can be held closed with elastic bands, under other books, or in a book press. Be sure to remove the waxed paper before it sticks to the adhesive.

I'm sure there are many other methods and it will be interesting to see what others suggest.
