I think that Dan Green 1 and Dan Green 3 are the same person: https://www.librarything.com/author/greendan

However, my evidence isn't great. There's a one-line comment in Dan Green 1's Wikipedia entry about the How to Draw series, and Dan Green 3's author bio on Amazon says that he's worked on a lot of properties, which includes comic series Dan Green 1 worked on.

Can anyone find stronger evidence either way?

(Deleting this comment as I may have been misled by the link from LT's Dan Green 3, author of the How to Draw 101 books, to dangreenillustration.com. In fact I am not confident this is the website of the How to Draw 101 author.)

Do you have a link to the Dan Green 3 author bio on Amazon that you mention? I couldn't find this.

The mention of How to Draw 101 in Wikipedia's Dan Green (artist) article isn't based on any cited source identifying the How to Draw 101 author with the comic artist, and should probably be removed from Wikipedia.

I've removed a link from LT's Dan Green 3 page, which covers the How to Draw 101 author, to the website at dangreenillustration.com. That website is for an illustrator of British children's books, and I can't see any indication from the website that its subject is the same as either the How to Draw 101 author or the comic artist.

Sure, I was talking about this: https://www.amazon.com/How-Draw-101-Animals-Green/dp/1842297406
Dan Green has worked for some of the world's largest brands including Doctor Who, Top Gear, Star Wars, Danger Mouse, Batman, Spiderman, Superman, WWE, Pixar/Disney, Adventure Time, Moshi Monsters, Shrek, Peppa Pig, Scooby Doo, Thomas the Tank Engine, Ladybug Girl, Otis and many more. Dan's illustration style is super-fun, clear and easy for children (and adults!) to understand.

The art style of that site looks consistent with that of the "How to Draw 101" Dan Green, and the list of projects is very similar:
Busy Day series, Football Superstars series (with Simon Mugford), Doctor Who, Playtown, Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Pixar, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, Top Gear, Peppa Pig, Batman and many more!

Additionally, the web site gives Imagine That Books as a client, who is the publisher of the "How to Draw 101" books. So I think the web site does belong to "How to Draw 101" Dan Green.

That, however, makes it clear that Dan Green 1 must be a separate person. Dan Green 1 is American, whereas the Dan Green whose site that is is from the UK, and it would be weird if he never mentioned his comics career on his web site!

The mention of How to Draw 101 in Wikipedia's Dan Green (artist) article isn't based on any cited source identifying the How to Draw 101 author with the comic artist, and should probably be removed from Wikipedia.

Yeah, that's why I didn't trust it automatically.

Thanks for your help. My guess is some of the unassigned books also go to Dan Green 3, like the soccer ones.

Thanks! You've persuaded me the British illustrator is the same person responsible for "How to Draw 101", and that the American comic artist is a different person. (I've added back the link I removed from https://www.librarything.com/author/greendan-3.)

Nice. I've used the info on that site to correctly assign some more works to Dan Green 3's split.
