Exploits of Sherlock Holmes

The Exploits of Sherlock Holmes by Adrian Conan Doyle and John Dickson Carr was first published in 1953 by John Murray as a collection of 12 stories. The same publisher reissued those stories in 1963 in two volumes, the annoyingly indistinguishably same-titled The Exploits of Sherlock Holmes, containing the six stories Doyle Jr. wrote by himself, and the distinguishably-titled More Exploits of Sherlock Holmes, containing the other six stories written by the two authors together.

So, the original 12-story volume and the later 6-story volume of the "Exploits" are combined and, being pre-ISBN, can't be told apart on the Editions listing page. I can identify the later edition by its cover, but don't know how to connect the cover ID to the relevant works listed on the Editions page. Any clue as to how to separate the editions out into the correct works?
