You can flag it as incorrect

>3 EGBERTINA: For bad descriptions, it's a link in the left-hand panel 'Descriptions' that leads to the page you need, to flag it. For your example it leads to this page:
https://www.librarything.com/work/387486/descriptions
And you can see the erroneous description in there (presumably the one involving "Zach Steele, a rugged security expert"), which has now been flagged multiple times by other users. There are also thumbs up and down options in there, to help decide which description is best. And the small 'recalculate' button above the thumbs icons does an immediate recount.

>4 Nevov: thanks- that was very confusing- but i have flagged it now- and the bad one is no longer at the top.
do all /other books have multiple descriptions? who writes them? from whence do they originate?

>5 EGBERTINA: LT pulls them based on the ISBNs in the work from Bowker and other library sources. You will have a lot of them on popular books because there are a lot of ISBNs mixed in there. :)

>6 AnnieMod: ok. thank u for the explanation. mostly, i dont think it effects me, but, i'll try to pay attention.

>7 EGBERTINA: Basically we cannot change, update or delete them.
So we can flag the ones that are really incorrect and we can thumb up and down the ones that belong so we can push the best one to the top when another one wins.
If you see one that is really really wrong, first look at the editions to make sure we don’t have a combination issue brining the wrong one in. Fixing the combination issue will resolve the description issue by sending it to the other work. If we don’t have a combination issue, it is either an isbn that caught it but we cannot separate or an error at the source - so we flag.
