Whilst it is possible to add new media to the list, it is not possible to edit or delete entries.
For example I like to show if a book has sewn sections but due to a typo I entered "sawn" sections.
I understand that the initial media descriptions come packaged from Amazon et. al. and do not ask to change them, just to edit my own additions.

This is a long-standing issue. Somehow, the term "pamphlet" got multiplied in my list, and I can't delete the extraneous entries.

Closing this as a duplicate but bumped that bug report to keep it current. Hopefully will get fixed at some point! I'm afraid I don't have an immediate timeline, unfortunately.

I just ran into this problem while attempting to power edit a LOT of books to include a recently added media type (DJ w/o mylar). The media type didn't show up as option, so I added it again. Boom, now it shows up numerous times in my list of media sources. As far as I can tell, the media none of the selected books' media sources changed.
