Some of my most useful tag searches are searches that bring up dud books.

boring
overrated
unreadable
questionable literary merit
unfinished
too long
will never read

I wish there were a way to encourage people to use tags like these!

Really? I mostly use tags like that when I'm in a cheeky mood since they don't really give me enough information.

Someone may have found a book boring for the same reasons I tend to like a book.

Still, I do have an urge to tag Ian McEwan's Saturday "the emperor has no clothes." Though I really should just list it on Bookmooch.

I use the tag rubbish from time to time. Normally I'll have managed a review explaining why I disliked it so much - so you can compare my reasons to your preferences.

I smacked Charlie and Chocolate Factory with "white man's burden", but I feel a lot like twomoredays in that it was cheeky more than useful.

I agree that it would be nice to see a book's problems pop up in a tag listing, but specifics are more helpful. For instance, a tag I use sometimes with biographies and histories especially is "exhaustive in detail" which is actually a plus in some cases but would be something I would steer clear of if I was reading for sheer entertainment.
