Your Newest Character

Tell us something about the newest character to appear in your NaNo.

Mine is a Frenchman named Henri. He's part of the Resistance during WWII. His main purpose is to teach my FMC how to move fake documents on the black market. His girlfriend is named Gigi.

I've been writing about the same characters for what seems like an eternity (tho the word count is only about 8,400), but the characters I added to the mix last were R____ and W_____ (I'm using the real names of the guys these characters are based on and will rename them on rewrite). W is a bad-ass, small-time hood the mfc falls for to her detriment. R is W's friend, also a small-time hood, not as bad-ass as W, but he's a married guy who mistreats his wife and, pretending to be single, puts the make on a girlfriend of the mfc.

Slater is a fellow law student. He's gorgeous, wickedly funny, supersmart and my MC's new gay boyfriend (you know, like Will to Grace). He acts as her sounding board and likes to dress her.

A talking computer cropped up in the latest chapter today. Yes, it's that sort of novel...

Well I have a wizard with flying newts, a telepathic bear and a gnome with a keen eye for fashion that all ended up in my last three chapters. None of them were in my original plans but they've all been delightful to write. It's always strange when our stories surprise us...

I have a conflicted sword style student, and a group of bandits that popped up recently. And the group is approaching a temple, where the next major fight scene approaches. :>

Lately, a new girl name Syd has popped up. I'm not quite sure why yet, or what I'll do with her.
