any thoughts on this book? is it worth owning or should I wait for my library to track it down for me.

I've read it a couple of times, but my library already has it. I'd say wait for the library and try before you buy. It's a bit different in format and presentation, and I suspect, doesn't work for everyone.

I'd second Dr. Neutron. You're better off reading it before paying for it, since it's the sort of work that gets a lot of different reactions.

I own it. I have read it several times, finding something different each time I read it. Owning it will give you the time to let it marinate in your brain. :)

Thanks for the replies, I think I'll see how long it takes for the ILL before I cave and buy it.

I have read it, but I did not care for it all. It wasn't the least bit interesting to me. I definitely recommend you wait for a library copy before purchasing. If you like it, then purchase it.
Sorry to be the wet blanket.

It's definitely not for everyone. That being said, I found it amazing and would recommend it to anyone who has a tolerance for experimental literature. Also, if you buy it, be aware that there are several different versions where certain words appear in color.
