Google Streetview

I just started uploading/flagging pictures. Somebody posted a bunch of pictures grabbed from google streetview. lilithcat flagged them once and I re-flagged them. I flagged them because I believe that the pictures are part of Google Maps which are governed by these terms of service:

which say "you must not:...(c) redistribute, sublicense, rent, publish, sell, assign, lease, market, transfer, or otherwise make the Products or Content available to third parties;"

I am however, not a lawyer and wanted to know if there was anyone with the expertise to confirm whether or not those terms of service would apply to google streetview images.

Google streetview also allows user uploaded pictures. I have no idea how those are handled.

The google street view images taken by their roving camera-mobiles are copyrighted. User uploaded pictures on panoramio are owned by the uploaders. I don't believe there's a general release for those either, but individual photographers might have permission for some of them.
